Do you know the 4 roles staff members (or you alone) play in any meeting?

Please see my previous post discussing the parts of any effective meeting. Here is the additional information I mentioned would be forthcoming in that post.

Every meeting has 4 roles. If you have a limited number of people, each person can perform more than 1 role.

Here they are:
-Historian – takes minutes
-Conscience – keeps someone from dominating the meeting
-Gatekeeper – keeps people on track
-Time keeper – is certain you start and stop the meeting on time

It is important you have these roles delegated. You will have more effective meetings, happier staff and get on to the task of solving the issues discussed more readily.
In a later post, I will discuss how to solve problems in your company.

Employ these roles and tell me if they worked for you or what was tweaked.

Please provide your comments and thoughts below. I would love to hear from you. I will respond.

  1. Thanks for “liking” my post. Following this procedure for a meeting (given in a previous post and this one) will make a substantial difference in your results. Being on target and effective makes people enjoy them as well! Would love to hear how this worked for you as well.
